Additional After Program Requirements


After successful completion, all students will do a fingerprinted FBI background check for the Oregon State Board of Nursing. Students will be required to disclose anything in the following list and will apply to their entire life including juvenile, sealed and expunged records and may affect licensure:

*If you have ever plead guilty, been found guilty, plead no contest or entered into an Alford plea for a misdemeanor or a felony.

*A DUI or Minor in possession.

*If you have ever had a case of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment founded or substantiated against them.

*If you have been court mandated in the last two years to attend a drug or alcohol treatment program. 


If any of this applies to you, be sure to discuss with us upon registration. 



Requirements



All students, regardless of class selection, MUST be able to do/provide the following by the noon, the Friday before the class start date:

  • Picture Identification
  • Social Security Card
  • Completed drug screen (must be with Dare to Care selected company)
  • Completed background check (must be with Dare to Care selected company)
  • Proof of state required immunizations- Tdap within 10 years, MMR (two doses), Hep B (three doses) and Varicella (two doses) or medically documented chickenpox 
  • Tuition paid in full 
  • Attend mandatory orientation (dates given upon registration)
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.



All students MUST provide proof of the following by final day of classroom portion:

  • AHA Basic Life Support CPR certification. Must have AHA logo on the card. (class offered at Dare to Care for additional fee.)
  • Single step TB skin test or clear chest x-ray or TB blood test within one year
